Kristin Fisher was added to CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team in the month of July 2021. She covers all aspects of space, from NASA, Space Force, Space Force and commercial space businesses to the rise of Space Tourism. Kristin's parents are each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space. She has also worked as an White House reporter for FOX News reporting on the both the Biden and Trump administrations on space issues. During that time, she also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump, the 2020 Presidential campaign and efforts by two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. She also went on trips with President Trump and Vice President Biden often. The trip included a shady visit to Afghanistan. Prior to joining the network in, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through the local news channels which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin's camera skills helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for corporate customers such as Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. The couple's husband and daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
